Batman Forever

"We are usually chosen because of the consistency of our digital film processing and color range capabilities," says David Hays, vice president and executive producer for EFILM. Batman Forever visual effects supervisor, John Dykstra turned to EFILM to provide digital input scanning and film recording for all fourteen effects houses used during the movie. EFILM was chosen to ensure consistent color, gamma curves, black levels, and sharpness, and ultimately to achieve overall fluidity throughout multiple sources of content. In this situation, different vendors often created content for different angles of the same scene. EFILM's staff maintained the color correction for approximately 150 shots to ensure that every scene looked exactly the same.
